who are we?

Raconte moi une histoire is the desire to share a dream; it is the pleasure of a mother in dressing her children, the excitement of young girls dancing before a mirror in their colorful clothes, the freedom of a young boy running and playing. It is the dream of an Indian tailor, able to go beyond his own limits yet still respect his people on a human level. It is the desire of a team to work together on a common project, with a goal of progressively allowing our children to play more freely and enjoyably.Giulietta, Raconte moi une histoire's designer, spent several years in Asia, an experience full of richness and wonderful encounters. Asia, and especially India, opened her eyes to a new culture and triggered this new challenge: the creation of soft, comfortable, well fitting children clothes, that mix Indian and classic styles, that blend tender colours and natural cotton and linen fabrics.Fascinated by India and its charming people, by the roaring force of the sea, by the contrast of life in this country where extreme misery and infinte richness coexist as an unbearable contradiction, Giulietta's creations are a blend of Indian soul and the dreams of a mother, that together have given birth to a comfortable and joyful collection. Sameer and Arshiya, their whole life dedicated to fashion and their workshop in Chennai, the old Madras, consider quality a priority and teamwork a condition to succeed. The relationship with their tailors goes beyond the working hours, it is an immense family that finds its force from mutual support. Our commitment: the respect of traditions, cultures, and the knowledge of the people working with us and helping us day after day to become stronger, the respect of our diversity that makes the essence of our teamwork.The respect of our environment for which we deploy much energy in seeking the best fabrics from workshops that respect their workers and are committed to producing in a sustainable way whilst offering our customers the best quality.Only cotton and linen for our clothes, only wood and mother of pearl for our buttons, only love and joy in our collection. Raconte moi une histoire is against child labour; our team and their suppliers only employ skilled adult workers. We do promote instruction and welfare for workers' families.
